IG Umranangal Arrives in Faridkot Court After Obtaining Bail From HC

IG Paramraj Umranangal was remanded in judicial custody in Patiala jail after the IG’s police remand was over. Meanwhile, he filed a bail application in Faridkot’s sessions court, which was rejected by the court on March 7. After that, Umanangal filed his bail application in the High Court where he has been granted bail. He appeared in the Faridkot court today.

Faridkot: IG Umranangal appeared in Faridkot session court after getting bail from high court on Monday. The court has given a date for re-appearing on June 10. On this occasion, Umranangal’s lawyer Gursahib Singh said that it was a normal attendance as no challan has been filed in the matter till now. He said that no action was being taken on the matter in the court.

After being nominated by the SIT in the Kotakpura Goli scandal, SIT arrested IG Paramraj Umarangal from Chandigarh. Subsequently, SIT questioned the IG on police remand. The Sikhs claimed that after the disrespect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, police action was initiated on a peaceful protest organized by IG Paramraj Umaranangal under Kotakpura.
